Update on Linden Case

The two victims found inside bags on a Linden, N.J. street on Monday morning have been identified, said Union County Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.
However, their identities are being withheld pending notification of their families, said Romankow. Those identifications are in the process of being made.
The victims were discovered around 9:49 a.m. Monday by a Linden sanitation worker and a member of the Linden Police Department. They were called to the corner of Cranford Ave and Essex Avenue by a neighbor reporting illegally dumped trash.
An autopsy was performed on Monday evening, said Romankow. The medical examiner has not yet determined how long the pair had been dead before they were discovered. It still remains unclear how long the bags had been on the curb or why the bodies were placed in Linden, said Romankow.
This remains an active investigation and anyone with information relating to this case is urged to call Union County Crime Stoppers at (908) 527-4621. All calls are kept anonymous and confidential.
