Pennsylvania Man Sentenced to 43 years in Prison

A Pennsylvania man was sentenced to 43 years in prison today, having been found guilty of aggravated manslaughter, conspiracy to distribute drugs and weapon offences, said Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.
Dante Wilson DOB: 4/26/1982 of Pittsburgh was found guilty on the charges in May 2010, said Assistant Prosecutor James Donnelly, who handled the case. According to the investigation, Wilson came to Elizabeth in April 2004 with the intention of purchasing a large quantity of illegal drugs from a known dealer.
Wilson and one other man, Eurie Nunley, met with the dealer, Cage Suttle, on Marshall Street in Elizabeth for the transaction, said Donnelly. As they were negotiating the deal, the three began to argue and Subtle was shot in the back numerous times as he tried to flee the scene.
An investigation identified Wilson as a suspect and he was arrested in Pittsburgh, by local officials who worked with the Prosecutor’s Office.
A trial before Union County Superior Court Judge Joseph P. Donohue was held in May and lasted about a month. The jury spent two days deliberating before convicting Wilson.
The Prosecutor commended Prosecutor’s Office Detective Rich Gregory and Elizabeth Police Department Detectives Paul Pasternak and Louchaun Holmes for their role in the investigation.
