This exhibit is produced and organized by the Union County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, Department of Parks and Community Renewal.  The exhibit includes 25 photos of diverse groups of soldiers selected from the collections of History Programs Coordinator, Ethel M. Washington

February 1 to March 8, 2013 -  A Black History Month Civil War Exhibit, “Home Town Heroes: Union County Civil War Veterans,” will be on display at the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders Gallery located at 10 Elizabethtown Plaza, 6th Floor, Elizabeth. The exhibit, produced and organized through the Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs, includes photos of 25 soldiers selected from the collections of the History Programs Coordinator, Ethel M. February 1 - February 28 The Black History Month Celebration exhibit, "African American Images from the Historical Society of Plainfield Collections,” will on display in the second floor ballroom of the Drake House Museum, 602 West Front Street . February 16-March 3 - The Westfield Historical Society will host author Ethel M. Washington’s Civil War exhibition, Union County’s Black Soldiers and Sailors of the Civil War, at their Reeve History & Cultural Resource Center, 314 Mountain Avenue, Westfield, NJ.
