NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

Sealed bids will be received by the Director of the Division of Purchasing, or his designee, at the County of Union, New Jersey on February 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, in the 6th Floor Freeholder Meeting Room, U.C. Administration Building, 10 Elizabethtown Plaza, Elizabeth, New Jersey for:

PONDEROSA FARM PROJECT

TOWNSHIP OF SCOTCH PLAINS, COUNTY OF UNION, NEW JERSEY


in accordance with the specifications and forms of the bid packages. Plans and specifications for this work may be examined at the Division of Engineering, 2325 South Avenue, Scotch Plains, New Jersey, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays and procured upon payment of $350.00 check made out to the “County of Union”, which is non-refundable. Requests for mailing of specifications will not be honored. For further information please call 908-789-3690.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walkthrough will be held on January 6, 2011 at 10:30 am. The meeting will be located at the Ponderosa Farm, 1600 Cooper Road, Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Bids received from bidders not in attendance at this meeting will NOT be considered for possible award. All questions and concerns of the bidders at the mandatory prebid meeting must be presented in written format. Specific questions regarding the project will be addressed at the mandatory pre-bid meeting.

Bidders on this project are required to be preclassified by the State of NJ, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) under classification #s C009 or C008 and C054, as well as other documentary requirements as set forth in the INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS found in the bid specifications.

The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities in the bid.

Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly marked with the subject of the bid, name and address of the bidder, phone & fax number, and date of the bid opening. Each bid must be delivered to the Division of Purchasing prior to the stated time of the opening of the bids. No late bids will be accepted. The County will not be responsible for late delivery by the U.S. Mail or any other carrier.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.S.A.C. 17:27.
