Picnic Area Guidelines

These guidelines are to be followed when booking a picnic area.

1. Beginning in January of each year picnic reservations are accepted with payment only for the calendar year.
2. Picnic request must be made in person or by mail including payment & copy of a valid NJ Driver’s License or proof of residency.
3. Picnic reservations are done on a first come first serve basis.
4. Beer & Wine permits can be purchased in addition to a picnic permit, if desired, and can only be consumed in the reserved picnic area.
5. Picnic reservations are NON-REFUNDABLE. In the event of inclement weather please call 908-527-4900 within TWO BUSINESS DAYS after your picnic. Another reservation will be arranged for you over the phone or a CREDIT VOUCHER will be issued. Credit voucher is good for one (1) year from date of original reservation.
6. Permit holders must occupy their picnic area by 11:00AM on Weekends & Holidays.
7. After 11:00AM the area is first-come, first-served, and may result in forfeiture of the area by the permit holder.

Rules & Regulations

Noise: No amplification, including: bands, loud recorded music or disc jockeys. We do not offer any type of electrical outlets or other power source

Defacing County Property: No stakes or other type of holes can be put in the ground. This includes tents or any other type of shelter in clase of inclement weather.

Metal Detectors: Are not allowed because people will dig holes, creating a liability hazard.
