On Wednesday, Dec. 14, Westfield and Mendham finished up their play in the 2011 Cron Tournament with Westfield winning by a score of 5-2. Westfield’s Sam Meyer scored 2 goals in the victory. By winning, Westfield placed third in this year’s tournament. The Championship Final game of the tournament was won by Summit defeating Cranford by a score of 5-3. Eric Stabler scored 2 goals for Summit and Russ Harvey scored 2 goals for Cranford. Summit earned first place in the tournament and Cranford took the second place trophy. The most valuable player of the 2011 Cron Tournament was Summit goalie Garrett McGowan. McGowan had a GAA of 1.00 while stopping 56 of 59 shots during the tournament.
