Cervical Health Awareness Month is a chance to raise awareness about how women can protect themselves from HPV (human papillomavirus) and cervical cancer. The Union County Freeholder Board and the Union County Office on Women would like to encourage:

  • Women to start getting regular cervical cancer screenings by the age of 21.
  • Parents to make sure pre-teens get the HPV Vaccine at age 11 or 12.

Please consult your healthcare insurance to see if regular examinations are covered. If they are not there are options available locally:
