Fanwood Dedicates Softball Diamond to Dorris Terry |

FANWOOD, NJ – The new LaGrande Park softball diamond in Fanwood was dedicated on Saturday morning, May 5, in memory of Dorris Terry, a long-time community volunteer. The fencing and benches at the rehabilitated field were funded in part by a $9,800 grant from the Union County Open Space, Recreation and Historic Preservation Trust Fund. On hand for the dedication ceremony were (left to right): Doug Terry, son of the late Dorris Terry; Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr; Fanwood Councilman Dave Valian; Union County Freeholder Al Mirabella, a Fanwood resident; and Liam Mahr, son of the mayor. |
