“Whales, Sharks & Ocean Creatures”
Presented at Trailside, August 1

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased to announce that Diana Dove of Dove Environmental Education will present an entertaining and educational production at Trailside Nature & Science Center on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 1:30 p.m. in the newly renovated Visitor Center.

Diana Dove will give a hands-on interactive presentation about the animals that live in the ocean and what kids can do to help this amazing habitat. The audience will take a pretend whale-watching trip, inflate a 30-foot great white shark, and have fun with songs of the sea and animal costumes. Discovery stations will allow participants to handle artifacts from the ocean.

“This show is funded by The New Jersey Clean Communities Act,” said Freeholder Chairwoman Bette Jane Kowalski. “Diana Dove of Dove Environmental Education has won many awards for her educational programming including Environmental Educator of the Year from the New Jersey Alliance of Environmental Education and a Special Recognition award from the Warren County Department of Economic Development.”

Admission is $4 per person and the show is recommended for families with children ages 4 and older. No infants or babies in strollers are allowed in the auditorium. Tickets will go on sale 20 minutes before each show. The Wednesday matinees are selling out so come early to find a good seat.
