Union County Freeholder Chairwoman Bette Jane Kowalski congratulates Bria Barnes of Scotch Plains on receiving the Leadership Award at the Union County Freeholders College for Teens commencement at Union County College in Cranford.

This summer more than 100 students from throughout Union County completed the three-week program which offers teens in grades 8 through 12 opportunities to explore a variety of career choices while experiencing life on a college campus. Since the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders launched the program in 2002, more than 600 Union County students have completed College for Teens.
