Enjoy Friday Night Hay Rides and Campfire Songs
at Trailside Nature & Science Center

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – Tickets are available for Friday night hay rides and campfires at Trailside Nature & Science Center sponsored by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders. There are still seats for hay rides on Sept. 21, Oct. 5, Oct. 12, Oct. 19, and Nov. 9, but they’re going fast, so don’t wait until it’s too late!

“A Friday night hay ride at Trailside in early autumn is fun for the whole family,” said Freeholder Chairwoman Bette Jane Kowalski. “Along with the hay ride, there’s hot chocolate, a campfire, marshmallows for roasting, and musical entertainment that will have everyone singing around the campfire.”

Seating for the hay rides is limited. Rides begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance and no tickets will be sold at the hay rides, so please register early. The cost is $5 for Union County residents and $10 for out-of-county participants. Tickets can be purchased every day from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Trailside Nature and Science Center, 452 New Providence Road, Mountainside; or weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Union County Administration Building, Parks Dept., 2nd Floor, Elizabethtown Plaza at Rahway Avenue in downtown Elizabeth.
