UNION COUNTY TO OBSERVE POW/MIA REMEMBRANCE DAY,
SEPTEMBER 21

The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders invites all veterans and residents of Union County to attend and participate in the annual POW/MIA Remembrance Day Ceremony. This year’s ceremony will take place Friday, September 21 at 11:15 a.m. in the rotunda of the Union County Courthouse, 2 Broad Street in Elizabeth.

“Without the personal sacrifices made by these brave men and women we would not be able to enjoy the freedom we have today,” said Chairwoman Bette Jane Kowalski. “It is important that we take time out to remember those who were held prisoner during wartime and military personnel missing in action.

Members of veterans organizations, all public officials in Union County and the public are all invited to attend.
