Tricky Tray Held at Runnells Specialized Hospital

Sometimes luck is with you. Helen Phillips, formerly of Basking Ridge, a resident at RUNNELLS SpecializedHospital of Union County in Berkeley Heights is handed the prize she won at RUNNELLS’ annual Tricky Tray. Phillips was presented with her prize by Jamie Granato, B.A, of Scotch Plains, a Recreation Therapy Aide in the facility’s Activities Therapy office.

Table after table of prizes was on display at RUNNELLS SpecializedHospital of Union County with a cup in front of each, seemingly trying to entice patients, residents, staff and visitors to drop tickets into the cups to try to win those prizes. The hardest part was deciding which prizes to try for…restaurant gift certificates, porcelain dolls, games, the crystal candy dish, the gourmet food basket or one of the many others.

“This is the 10th year that the Activities Therapy Department of RUNNELLS Hospital and RUNNELLS’ Volunteer Guild has held this popular event,” said Union County Freeholder Chester Holmes, liaison to RUNNELLS. “Thank you to all of the individuals and businesses that generously donated prizes.”
