Rahway Senior Artists Display Work at Freeholders Gallery |

ELIZABETH, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased to sponsor an exhibition featuring paintings by Rahway senior citizens through June 2nd in the Freeholders Gallery, located on the 6th floor of the Union County Administration Building, Elizabethtown Plaza at Rahway Avenue, Elizabeth. The gallery is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays. The painters take classes with art instructors Karen Buffa and Janice Giorgio at the Rahway Senior Center. The exhibit at the Freeholders Gallery includes works by Cynthia Baras, Mary Alice Erickson, Ida Mele, Pat Benanti, Barbara Frank, Anne Miars, Edna Bracken, Madeline Granieri, Arline Mini, Molly Brown, Patricia Jack, Katie Moore, Rosemarie Campbell, Katina Massas, Kathy Pazaryna, Sherley Cherubino, Dawn McDonald, Joan Pender, Marian Davidson, Edith Meier, and Ann Quigley. “The gallery is an ideal public space for showcasing the works of talented artists from throughout Union County,” said Freeholder Bette Jane Kowalski, liaison to the Cultural and Heritage Programs Advisory Board. “We appreciate the variety of artistic expressions and welcome visitors to enjoy their beautiful work.” The Rahway Senior Center is located at 1306 Esterbrook Ave. in Rahway.
