Relax and Unwind at Trailside

Elizabeth, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased to offer
a nature walk and guided meditation for adults ages 18 and older, at the Trailside Nature and Science Center in Mountainside on Thursday, May 29, from 7:00 p.m.
to 8:30 p.m.

“Nature provides the perfect venue for relaxation after a long day of work,” said Freeholder Chairman Angel G. Estrada. “Participants will enjoy a leisurely evening walk, and then relax with a guided meditation. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn a healthy way to relieve stress and its symptoms.”

The Trailside Nature and Science Center is located within Union County’s Watchung Reservation, a 2,000-acre nature preserve. Participants will join a Trailside Park Naturalist on a walk through the woods and meadows, listening to the soothing sounds of nature. The walk is followed by an indoor session with Claire M. Bay, a yoga instructor certified by the Chopra Center with training in sound meditation.

Space is limited for this program, so pre-registration is recommended by calling Trailside at 908-789-3670. Walk-ins are welcome only as space provides. The fee
for the workshop is $10 per person for residents of Union County and $15 for
non-residents. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat or meditation
cushion if they have one.

The Trailside Nature and Science Center is located at 452 New Providence Road in Mountainside and is a service of the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
