UNION COUNTY FREEHOLDER’S CHARITABLE CUP GAME
RAISES $5K FOR PROJECT LIFESAVER

The Union County Corrections officers defeated the Union County Sheriff’s Officers 12-6 in the first-ever Freeholder’s Charitable Cup softball game benefit for Project Lifesaver on Saturday at Warinanco Park in Elizabeth. The game raised money for Sheriff Froehlich’s Project Lifesaver, which  helps individuals with autism, alzheimer’s disease or other debilitating disorders by outfitting them with a watch-sized transmitter which can be tracked by the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Unit if the individual is reported missing or lost.
