The Grand Falloons Kick Off Trailside’s Summer Matinee Series, July 9

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased to announce that the Grand Falloons will return to the Trailside Nature and Science Center by popular demand on Wednesday, July 9, at 1:30 p.m. Their unique and lively matinee performance entitled, “Our Earth; What a Gas!” is scheduled for families with children ages 4 and up. The presentation is funded by the New Jersey Clean Communities Act.

“The Grand Falloons are 20-year veterans of the Big Apple Circus and have appeared on the Letterman Show, Conan O’Brien, On- and Off-Broadway and at museums, schools and community centers across the country,” said Freeholder Chairman Angel G. Estrada. “Bring the children and find out some simple ways we can all take care of our Earth.”

Through magic, juggling, stories, songs, contests, plate-spinning and lots of audience participation, families are invited to experience this multi-layered performance designed to take visitors on an exploration of “Our Earth.”

Join the fun as the Grand Falloons examine the bubble of our atmosphere and the delicate cycles of the carbon-oxygen-hydrogen exchange between the plant and animal kingdoms. Learn how wasted resources, litter and other pollution threaten this delicate balance, trapping gasses and warming the Earth’s atmosphere.

Tickets will go on sale at the door 30 minutes before each show. The fee is $4 per person and the program is recommended for children ages 4 and older. No infants or babies in strollers are allowed in the auditorium. Call Trailside for information about group rates.

Trailside Nature and Science Center is located at 452 New Providence Road in Mountainside and is a service of the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
