RUNNELLS Specialized Hospital Foundation’s Second Casino Night . . . a great success

runnells - second casino night

Union County Freeholder Daniel Sullivan
and Nancy Lessner of Westfield,
president of the Runnells Specialized Hospital Foundation
took turns picking the winning tickets and announcing
the lucky winners at the Foundation’s Casino Night.

Win, lose or draw; the blackjack and poker tables as well as the roulette wheel were hot at the RUNNELLS Specialized Hospital Foundation’s Second Casino Night benefit at Mt. Carmel Hall in Berkeley Heights.

While participants were having a good time at the tables, they could also enjoy the mouth-watering buffet selections made by Delicious Heights Caterers.

Winning tickets were used to bid at the evening’s final event … a tricky tray auction where the prizes included a flat panel, wide screen TV; a NJ Devils prize package; a Las Vegas trip; certificates for restaurants; spa visits; golfing and tickets to professional sporting events.

“The goal of the RUNNELLS SpecializedHospital Foundation is to raise funds to purchase items that will help to create the best quality of life possible for the patients and residents of RUNNELLS,” said Union County Freeholder Chester Holmes, RUNNELLS liaison. “One such project was supplying homey, comfortable furniture for the lobby that is perfect for visits.”

“I’d like to thank the following organizations and individuals who donated the great prizes for this special evening,” said Freeholder Daniel Sullivan. “Their contributions are truly appreciated.”

The donors were: Fast Frames; Pat Schmitt; Rene & Mike Cahill-State Farm; Sharkeys Hair Cuts for Children; Delicious Heights Caterers; Conoco Phillips; Corbo Jewelers; Costco; Home Goods; New Jersey Devils; Sublime Salon and Day Spa; Kings Supermarket; Stop-N-Shop Supermarket; Chimney Rock Inn; Sovereign Bank; Corning Incorporated Foundation; Suplee, Clooney & Company; Publishers Clearing House; Keywood Strategies, LLC; Dr. Raymond Lanza; Galloping Hill Surgical Corp; Visiting Dental Assoc.
