MOUNTAINSIDE/WESTFIELD, NJ – The Union County Summer Arts Festival concert series continues on Wednesday, July 23, featuring classic rock music performed by the Rick Cantor Band. The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders, led by Chairman Angel G. Estrada, invites the public to attend this free concert which begins at 7:30 p.m. in Echo Lake Park. The Rick Cantor Band is a Union County-based classic rock cover band that has been playing to New Jersey and New York audiences for the past two years. Playing popular music from the 1960’s and 1970’s, the band captures the energy and intensity of the great rock concerts of that era. Their show includes music from the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Grateful Dead, Neil Young, The Band, and other rock favorites. Freeholder Chairman Estrada urges you to “bring the whole family, pack a picnic basket, bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on, and enjoy the classic sounds of these popular local musicians.” The Union County information van will be at the concert site, along with representatives from the Union County Department of Human Services, including the Paratransit System, the Division on Aging, the Division of Workforce Development Operations, the Office for the Disabled, and the Division of Social Services, to answer questions and offer information about interesting programs available to Union County residents.
