Elizabeth, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased to invite businesses, school administrators, and local government officials to the first Union County Green Conference, scheduled for Friday October 3, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm at Kean University.

“If you go to one conference this year, the Green Conference is the place to be,” said Freeholder Chairman Angel G. Estrada. “You can find all the tools you need to put Union County’s emerging green economy to work for the communities you serve. The possibilities are endless.”

The Green Conference will provide a one-stop resource for civic leaders and decision makers to get the most economical results from new green products, services, and funding opportunities. Attendees can choose two workshops from an offering of four: green grants, alternative energy and conservation, LEED certification, and green shared services.

Breakfast and lunch are included in the event. The registration fee of $25 will be waived for attendees who register before September 20.

Businesses are welcome to exhibit at the Green Conference, and breaks have been scheduled for attendees to browse the exhibits and network. There is no fee for exhibitors.

“You will find a highly receptive audience at the Green Conference, so I encourage local businesses to come and show their green products and services to potential customers,” said Estrada.
