The Union County Department of Human Services, Division on Aging, encourages senior adults to express their opinions about Union County’s 2009 “Area Plan” during a public meeting to be hosted by the division on Monday, October 6 at the Steven Sampson Senior Center, 800 Anna Street in Elizabeth. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m.

Staff from the county’s Division on Aging will present an overview of the plan’s contents covering topics such as demographics; trends; existing conditions; caregiver needs; service strategies; as well as local social services agencies and their programs funded by the Division on Aging.

“This plan will be sent to the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services,” noted Freeholder Chairman Angel G. Estrada. “The Freeholder Board hopes seniors from all of Union County’s 21 municipalities will attend and provide their comments about our plan.”
