MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Trailside Nature and Science Center are pleased to offer a craft workshop on making a wreath with natural materials for adults, ages 18 years and older, on Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

“This is the perfect time of year to learn how to make a one-of-a kind wreath to decorate your home,” said Freeholder Chairman Angel G. Estrada.

Spend an evening learning how to identify, prepare and use nature’s bounty of dried autumn plants with Trailside park naturalist Ruth Yablonsky as she demonstrates how to weave grasses, stems, flowers and seeds into a decorative piece that will surely brighten your home. Use plants such as dock, wild grasses, sedum and hydrangea to create a colorful masterpiece of your own. Participants are encouraged to bring a hot glue gun if they have one.

Pre-registration is required as space is limited. The fee is $15 per person for residents of Union County and $20 per person for out-of-county participants and includes all materials. Please call Trailside for space availability. Participants are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to the event.
