Crafters Wanted for 25th Annual Nature Craft Show, Dec. 7 |

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders reminds local crafters and artisans that there still is space to market their wares on Sunday, Dec. 7, at the County’s 25th annual Nature Craft Show. The event will be held at Trailside Nature and Science Center’s Visitor Center in Mountainside from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Items for the show should be handcrafted from natural materials or based on a natural history theme. Crafts may include a variety of jewelry, country art, pottery, herbal soaps, honey, wood carvings, maple syrup, natural wreaths, ornaments, handmade gift baskets and hand-painted or stenciled home decor. Also sought are vendors who create bird houses and garden art, unique children’s toys, live green arrangements, basketry, wildlife paintings and photography, stained glass and gift items with wildlife, gardening or nature themes as well as other unusual and creative crafts. Interested crafters and artisans should contact Susan Day at 908-789-3670, ext. 3425, or Other activities offered concurrently in the Watchung Reservation on Sunday, Dec. 7 will be free horse-drawn carriage rides, barn tours at Watchung Stable, a mounted drill team demonstration, holiday sing-alongs, a petting zoo and pony rides at Watchung Stable. The high-light of the afternoon will be Santa’s arrival and the holiday tree lighting at 5 p.m., also at Trailside Nature and Science Center is located at 452 New Providence Road and Watchung Stable is located at 1160 Summit Lane in Mountainside.
