MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – Seventeen-year-old Christina Karas (L) of Springfield, riding Iggy, and
12-year-old Phoebe Weiman (R) of Cranford, riding Clifford, were awarded “Outstanding Junior Instructor” trophies during Watchung Stable’s 75th Anniversary Fall Troop Horse Show sponsored by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders from October 24-26. Mark Burrows (C), manager of Watchung Stable in Mountainside, presented Karas and Weiman with the awards for their outstanding service as Junior Instructors. Both Christina and Phoebe have been riding at the stable since they were nine years old. Christina Karas also was honored as top rider in the Junior Instructors class during the competition.
