“UNION COUNTY DAY” SET FOR NEW PROVIDENCE
Event includes passport applications, child safety seat inspections and more

 

Elizabeth, NJ – The first of four mobile Union County Freeholder Board meetings scheduled for 2009 will be held in New Providence on Wednesday, March 25. The meeting caps a day of County-sponsored events and services in New Providence, open to all Union County residents.

“We hope that Union County Day provides more citizens with a convenient way to avail themselves of popular County services, and a good opportunity to get to know their County government,” said Chairman Mirabella.

11:00 a.m.

Union County Surrogate James S. LaCorte speaks to the New Providence Senior Citizen Club on wills and related issues. Following this presentation, the Sheriff’s office will explain the Union County Senior ID Card program and distribute application forms. Senior Center, 15 East 4th Street.

   

12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Child safety seats inspected by trained personnel from the Union County Division of Public Safety. New Providence Community Pool, 1378 Springfield Avenue.

Union County Clerk’s Passport Services. New Providence Municipal Hall, 360 Elkwood Avenue, Council Chambers.
