UNION COUNTY 4-H SCIENCE PROGRAM ADDS FUN TO SUMMER CAMPS

Elizabeth, NJ – Summer camp directors in search of fun, educational activities are invited to contact the 4-H Summer Science Program of Union County.  The program provides experienced science instructors, at a low cost, to summer camps located within Union County.  For more information, call 4-H Agent Jim Nichnadowicz at 908-654-9854 ext. 2236.

Recent Union County 4-H Summer Science activities have included the physics of toys, earthquake-proof buildings made of toothpicks, and constructing boats to learn about flotation.  The program is intended for children in first grade and older.

This is the 17th year of the Union County 4-H summer science program, jointly sponsorship by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Rutgers Cooperative Extension 4-H of Union County, and the Schering-Plough Corporation.  The sponsorships enable Union County to keep down the cost of providing this service.
