The Turtle Singer Will Delight Children at Trailside’s Wednesday Matinee Series, July 8

Mountainside, NJ – Karen Buckley of Turtlesinger, Inc. and 6-year-old Colin Jaros of Cranford feed Gracie the tortoise at Trailside Nature and Science Center’s Wednesday Matinee last year. Matinees begin at 1:30 p.m. and admission is $4 per person. The program is recommended for children ages 4 and older. Please no strollers in the auditorium. MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased to announce The Turtle Singer will return to Trailside Nature and Science Center in Mountainside on Wednesday, July 8, at 1:30 p.m. as part of Trailside’s Summer Wednesday Matinee Series.
The Turtle Singer Show has lots of audience participation. Families with children ages four and older will enjoy this interactive show featuring live turtles and live music. Join the fun as you sing songs, learn interesting facts about different species of turtles, and see Gracie, Bart and the whole gang in a turtle race.
“The Turtle Singer program is informative, educational and fun,” said Freeholder Chairman Alexander Mirabella. “And after the matinee, visitors also can see Trailside’s resident live box turtles in the Forest Community exhibit and three different species of turtles swimming in the Wetland Exhibit.”
Tickets go on sale at 1:00 p.m. on July 8 and the fee is $4 per person. No infants or babies in strollers are allowed in the auditorium. Call Trailside for information regarding group rates.
