FAMOUS DAVE’S TO RAISE FUNDS
FOR RUNNELLS SPECIALIZED HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
Mountainside, NJ -- A great meal for a great cause is in store for patrons of Famous Dave’s Restaurant in Mountainside. On Wednesday, June 24, the eatery will contribute an amount equal to 10% of each diner’s check to The Runnells Specialized Hospital Foundation, a non-profit founded to benefit the patients and residents of Union County’s renowned long term care and rehabilitation facility.
The contribution will apply when diners present a coupon. Coupons are available for download at www.ucnj.org or call 908-771-5803 to receive one by mail.
The fundraiser will last throughout the day and into the evening, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Famous Dave’s is located at 1443 Route 22 East in Mountainside.
“Runnells thrives because of volunteers and contributors like Famous Dave’s,” said Union County Freeholder Chester Holmes. “Our thanks go out to this local business for its support. They set a great example for the entire community.”
Runnells Specialized Hospital provides nursing care including long term and short term sub acute rehabilitation, and psychiatric services to Union County residents. Housed in a state-of-the art campus in Berkeley Heights, Runnells practices a philosophy of compassionate care that focuses on restorative services, wellness education, and the celebration of life.
An active volunteer community plays a key role in the Runnells philosophy. Past Foundation fundraising efforts have included transforming an underused lobby into a bustling front room, by adding couches, a piano and other welcoming touches. Other projects have included purchasing specialized equipment, such as a treadmill for the physically disabled.
