UNION COUNTY 4-H SEEKING LEADER FOR YOUTH SEWING CLUB

Westfield, NJ – The 4-H Program of Union County is looking for an adult volunteer to run its Fashion Design/Sewing Club.  The club leader helps children learn basic sewing and fashion design techniques.

The club is limited to 8 children, whose parents stay and assist with the club.  The 4-H program provides sewing machines and supplies, as well as tips and training for the leader.

The club will meet once a month during the school year, on a weekday evening to be determined, from September to June.  The club will meet at the 4-H offices at the Union County Services Building, 300 North Ave in Westfield.

For information about this and other volunteer opportunities, contact 4-H Agent James Nichnadowicz at 908-654-9854 or email him at nichnadowicz@njaes.rutgers.edu. The 4-H Youth Development Program is part of Rutgers Cooperative Extension, supported in part by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
