Swing Your Partner at the Summertime Barn Dance for People with Disabilities, July 26

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – Do-si-do and away we go! The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Department of Parks and Community Renewal present a mid-summer evening of fiddling, food and fun – the annual Barn Dance for People with Disabilities! This ever-popular event will take place on Sunday, July 26, at Watchung Stable, 1160 Summit Lane in Mountainside, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

“The barn dance is a favorite activity each year – rain or shine,” said Freeholder Bette Jane Kowalski, liaison to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. “There are line dancing lessons, a square dance caller and a fiddler, a barbecue dinner, western-themed crafts, hay rides and plenty of fun. So grab your cowboy hat and mosey on over to Watchung Stable for an incredible time.”

Pre-registration is required for the Barn Dance for People with Disabilities. The fee for each person attending is $10. Please call 908-527-4806 to register or to obtain additional information about this program and other activities for people with disabilities.
