OAK RIDGE PARK OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Biking, walking, other passive recreation

 

Clark, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased to announce that Oak Ridge Park in Clark is now open to the public for biking, walking, and other passive recreation.

Oak Ridge Park is open from dawn to dusk, seven days per week.  It features paved trails and wide open spaces.  Ample off-street parking is available at the park entrance, and a handicapped-accessible public restroom is on site.

The park is hosting free cultural events sponsored by the Freeholder Board, including the Summer Arts Festival concerts, Family Flix movies, and MusicFest.  It also houses a new archery range.  For information on obtaining a Union County Archery ID Card to use the range, call the Union County Department of Parks and Community Renewal at 908-527-4900.

Directions to Oak Ridge Park: From the Garden State Parkway take exit 135, Westfield/Clark.  Get on Central Avenue toward Westfield, to Raritan Road. Turn left on Raritan Road (the name changes to Oak Ridge Road after approximately 2 miles).  The park is on the right side of Oak Ridge Road about 1/2 mile past Lake Avenue.
