Mountainside, NJ –
Summer Time Funin the Watchung Reservation! The popular event is being offered again on Saturday, July 25, from 7 – 10 p.m. for adults ages 18 and older. This tented barn dance includes square dancing, line dancing with instructors from Colorado Café in Watchung, live music, hay wagon rides, barn tours and a barbecue dinner cooked to perfection by Famous Dave’s restaurant. Pre-registration before July 22 is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. The fee is $25 per person for residents of Union County and $30 for out-of-county participants. Trailside Nature and Science Center is located at 452 New Providence Road and Watchung Stable is located at 1160 Summit Lane in Mountainside. Both facilities are services of the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Trailside Nature and Science Center are pleased to offer an outdoor barn dance and barbecue dinner at Watchung Stable in Mountainside. This program is part of Trailside’s series of activities for adults, ages 18 years and older, and will be held on Saturday, July 25, from 7:00-10:00 p.m.

“This is a Saturday event you won’t want to miss,” said Freeholder Chairman Alexander Mirabella. “It’s a great way to enjoy a summer evening outdoors while you dance and meet friends in the Watchung Reservation.”

Put on your cowboy boots and hat and get ready for fun as Rusty Burns calls out basic square dance steps and a fiddler gets your feet moving. Adding to the energy of the evening, line dance instructor Pete Burdack, courtesy of the Colorado Café in Watchung, will teach us some new dance routines.

Take a break from the dancing and hop on the hay wagon to enjoy a beautiful summer evening in the reservation. Then grab a plate and enjoy a barbecue dinner cooked to perfection by Famous Dave’s restaurant in Mountainside. Don’t miss this evening! The event will be held at Watchung Stable, rain or shine.

Pre-registration before July 22 is preferred, but walk-ins will be welcome! The admission fee is $25 per person for residents of Union County and $30 per person for out-of-county participants.
