Union County Sheriff Ralph Froehlich (left) welcomes Sgt. Cliff Meros back to duty in the Sheriff’s Office after returning from a year-long deployment to Iraq. Sgt. Meros of Port Reading, a Sgt. First Class in the Nation Guard, was stationed at Camp Bucca in Southern Iraq with C Company, 2-113 Infantry. During his 15 years in the military, Sgt. has also been deployed to Bosnia and Guantánamo Bay in Cuba. He will be returning to the warrant squad in the Sheriff’s Office.
