Connor Burkert of Cranford shows Union County Sheriff Ralph Froehlich some of his uniform for the Sheriff’s Youth Academy he is attending at John H. Stamler Police Academy in Scotch Plains. The two week program created by Sheriff Froehlich is designed to familiarize children with the role of a Sheriff’s Officer, and will operate similar to an actual police academy for those interested in law enforcement.
