Native American Culture Comes to Life at Union County Harvest Festival, Sept. 27
MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – Early American and Lenape food preparation, including roasting a wild turkey, will be demonstrated by Susan McLellan Plaisted at the 28th annual Union County Harvest Festival on Sunday, Sept. 27, at Trailside Nature & Science Center in Mountainside. Visitors to this year’s festival will enjoy a variety of displays and demonstrations of Early American crafts and work skills, plus musical performances from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is $3.00 per person, with children ages seven and younger admitted free of charge. Trailside is a facility of the Union County Department of Parks and Community Renewal and is located at 452 New Providence Road in Mountainside.
