Union County Freeholders Support Red Cross Disaster Training
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ – Union County Freeholder Chairman Alexander Mirabella welcomed volunteers to their first evening of training conducted by the American Red Cross at Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains recently (September 15). The Tri-County Chapter of the Red Cross will train between 500 and 750 volunteers so they will be ready to help provide shelter for local residents in case of a natural or man-made disaster. The Union County Freeholder Board provided funding for the disaster training. For more information and to learn how you can help the Tri-County Red Cross, please telephone 908-756-6414.
