Union County Sheriff Releasing New Gun Safety Video

Union County Sheriff Ralph Froehlich, in cooperation with Kean University, will release a new gun safety video for children on Wednesday, September 30. The viewing will take place during a press conference at 2:30 p.m. in the Freeholders Meeting Room on the 6th floor of the Union County Administration Building located at 10 Elizabethtown Plaza in Elizabeth.

The “See a Gun, Save a Life” video intends to educate children about the danger of guns and help them make safe, informed decisions if they encounter firearms.

“It is so important that we teach our young people about how deadly guns are and what they need to know should they come across them,” Sheriff Froehlich said. “If one kid does the right thing because of this video we can save lives.”

The five-minute video was produced by Kean University and sponsored by the Union County Sheriff’s Office. It will be distributed to schools throughout Union County.
