Learn Wildlife Photography Basics at Trailside, October 6

 

Mountainside, NJ – Take only pictures and leave only footprints when you visit Trailside Nature & Science Center located in Union County’s Watchung Reservation. Adults, 18 and older, are invited to discover the basics of wildlife photography with Phil Echo on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 7:30-9:00 p.m. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Walk-ins are welcome if space permits. Please call ahead for space availability. The fee is $10 per person for Union County residents and $12 for out-of-county participants. MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased to offer a lecture for adults, ages 18 and  older, on basic wildlife photography for digital and film camera enthusiasts on Tuesday, October 6, from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at Trailside Nature and Science Center in Mountainside.
“This is a perfect season to capture the beauty of the outdoors and improve your photography skills,” says Freeholder Chairman Alexander Mirabella. “And the Watchung Reservation, Union County’s largest park, provides an amazing variety of subjects for photographers.”  
Learn the basics of wildlife photography with award-winning photography instructor Phil Echo.  Using slides and lecturing, the instructor will cover such topics as lighting, composition, angles, backgrounds, shutter speed, subject and depth of field issues. Mr. Echo also will discuss subject matter, tips on attracting and locating objects, and the basics of flash.

Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Walk-ins are welcome if space permits. Please call ahead for space availability. The fee for this workshop is $10 per person for residents of Union County and $12 for out-of-county participants.
