Columbus Day Resolution Presentation Photo---the Union County Freeholder presented members of Plainfields UNICO with a resolution for their efforts in organizing the County’s first Columbus Day Flag Raising event. Plainfields UNICO in turn, presented Freeholder Mirabella with a book, “Passage to Liberty.”

A host of Union County, State and District X UNICO officials were on hand for a program marking the Columbus Day Holiday, with a flag raising at the Historic County Courthouse in Elizabeth, and a resolution presentation and reception inside the Courthouse. The program featured remarks from many including, former Governor Don DiFrancesco, UNICO National President Andre’ DiMino, Union County Surrogate James LaCorte, Freeholder Al Mirabella, and Assemblywoman Linda Stender.
