Union County Clerk Offers Free 2010 Wall Calendar
That Celebrates Union County Residents Who Served in Congress
ELIZABETH, NJ – Union County Clerk Joanne Rajoppi is pleased to offer a free 2010 wall calendar that celebrates the Union County residents who have served in the United States House of Representatives.
“New Jersey is often referred to as the Crossroads of the Revolution and Union County – which was part of Essex County until 1857 – is a Who’s Who of historically significant figures,” said Ms. Rajoppi. “It is my hope that this 2010 calendar represents a sample of the local men – and one woman – who have served Union County so well through the years in Congress.”
The Congressional Representatives pictured in this unique calendar range from leaders of the original Continental Congress such as Abraham Clark and Elias Boudinot, to popular 20th century House members including Florence Dwyer, Clifford Case, Harrison Williams and Matthew Rinaldo. Since 2010 is a Congressional election year, the calendar highlights many important dates relating to voter registration, mail-in ballots, primary election petitions, campaign finance reports, and general election ballot deadlines.
