Union County Freeholder Chairman Alexander Mirabella (R) presents a special resolution to Freeholder Chester Holmes thanking and honoring him for his years of public service during his last meeting as a Freeholder. Holmes, who was a Freeholder for 12 years, announced his retirement from the Board in March. Holmes, a popular Rahway resident, served more than 49 years in the public sector as a police officer, Rahway Councilman and Union County Freeholder.
