ROSELLE, NJ – The Warinanco Ice Skating Center was the scene of the annual “Turkey Bowl” on the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 28. Visitors from all over Union County came to participate in the 6th annual Thanksgiving Broom Bowl Challenge – a combination of the games of broomball and bowling – which is sponsored each year by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

Three winners in this family-friendly competition were awarded gift certificates by Donna Hayden, manager of the Warinanco Skating Center. The event was supported this year by Jersey Lanes and Linden Lanes, who supplied equipment for the games.

The Warinanco Ice Skating Center is located in Warinanco Park off St. Georges Avenue, near the border of Roselle and Elizabeth. For more information about ice skating activities, call the Skating Center at 908-298-7850 or the Union County Department of Parks and Community Renewal at 908-527-4900.
