Exhibit of Senior Art Classes at Freeholders Gallery

ELIZABETH, NJ – Paintings by students from art instructor Laura Brown’s classes at the Rahway Senior Center and Amalfe Community Center in Roselle are included in a joint exhibit through May 30. The artwork is on display in the Freeholders Gallery, located on the 6th floor of the Union County Administration Building, Elizabethtown Plaza at Rahway Avenue, Elizabeth. The Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

“We are always pleased to present this exhibit of talented artists from both the Roselle and Rahway art classes under the tutelage of Laura Brown, who brings out the best in them,” said Freeholder Bette Jane Kowalski, liaison to the Cultural and Heritage Programs Advisory Board.

Sponsored by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders, this exhibition features the works of Frances Carter, Mary Ellinger, Roberta Frimpter, Madeline Granieri, Katina Massas, Margaret Najjar, Mary Peter and Deborah Shaw from the Rahway Senior Center class, and Dee Chadwick, Barbara Dixon, Bernard Lichstein, Jeannie Lucas, Carol Norman, Marilyn Savidge, Beth Simonelli and Ann Szabo from the Roselle Art Association group.

The Rahway Senior Center is located at 1306 Esterbrook Avenue, where art classes are conducted regularly. For information about the Rahway Center and its activities, please call Ellen Staunton at 732-827-2016.

The Roselle Art Association paints as a group every Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon at the
Amalfe Community Center, 1268 Schaffer Avenue, Roselle. For further information, please
