The Union County Homicide Task Force and the Plainfield Police Division are jointly investigating a homicide that took place Sunday night in Plainfield, acting Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park announced Monday.
Officers responding to a report of shots being fired arrived at a residence on the 700 block of East Sixth Street in Plainfield at approximately 9:30 p.m. Sunday and located the homicide victim, 28-year-old Jose Disla-Cordero, who had been fatally shot in his home.
This remains an active investigation.
