Community Service Program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Latoya Bennett<br><\/strong><em>Youth Opportunity Unit Supervisor<\/em><br>Youth Opportunity Programs<br>E-mail: lbennett@ucnj.org<br>Phone: 908-558-2525<br>Address: 1143-1145 East Jersey Street, 4th Floor, Elizabeth, NJ 07201<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">S.H.OUT-U.C. offers a wide range of resources and volunteer opportunities that give middle and high school students in grades 6th-12th &nbsp;the best volunteer experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">S.H.OUT-U.C. accepts applications on an on-going basis from youth looking to serve their communities, complete required high school community service hours, supplement their college applications, or to get involved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our success has always been a result of the involvement of our citizens, community leaders and business owners who care about the future of Union County youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Benefits of Community Service&nbsp;<\/strong>Youth who volunteer just one hour or more a week are 50% less likely to abuse alcohol, cigarettes, become pregnant, or engage in other destructive behavior.
