Alcohol and substance misuse are serious public health concerns that affect individuals and families across Union County. These disorders can have a significant impact on an individual\u2019s physical, emotional, and social well-being, and can even lead to life-threatening consequences. Fortunately, there are various services and treatments available to help individuals struggling with alcohol and substance misuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These services are designed to address the complex needs of individuals, including medical detoxification, counseling, medication management, and support groups. Seeking help for alcohol and substance misuse is the first step towards recovery and can lead to a healthier, more fulfilling life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department of Human Services staff consult with local experts to develop localized guides which provide a wide array of treatment services and other resources. They also lead or participate in planning committees that are charged with helping guide the development of programs in the area to make sure that the services provided are align with the needs of the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
