The Office of Homeless and Housing Continuum of Care (OHHCoC) plays a critical role in providing support and services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity in the local community. The OHHCoC receives federal, state, and local funding to help address the needs of these vulnerable populations, including providing emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The OHHCoC works in partnership with local organizations, government agencies, and service providers to ensure that those experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity have access to safe, stable, and affordable housing, as well as the support services they need to rebuild their lives. The OHHCoC’s mission is to end homelessness in the local community by providing a comprehensive range of services and resources to help individuals and families achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OHHCoC partners with local community based organizations to provide critical housing services. The Office also offers information and referral to local non-profits whose services include: cash assistance for rent, security, food and utilities; transitional or permanent\/supportive housing and emergency shelter<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Comprehensive Emergency Assistance System & Continuum of Care (CEAS\/CoC)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Union County Comprehensive Emergency Assistance System & Continuum of Care (CEAS\/CoC) Committee is the primary vehicle for planning and coordinating the delivery of emergency services to the homeless and at risk of homeless individuals and families living in Union County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Homeless Trust Fund Advisory Board<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Union County Homeless Trust Fund (HTF) Advisory Board\u2019s function and responsibility is to provide additional financial resources to assist homeless and housing insecure individuals towards the goal of self-sufficiency and obtaining permanent affordable housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Point in Time Count<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Annual Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is an annual survey of sheltered and unsheltered persons experiencing homelessness on a single night in January. This is conducted through coordination of the County, local non-profits and local law enforcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
