Getting Ready for Our Summer Garden
We are growing banana peppers, sweetie tomatoes, purple Cherokee tomatoes, eggplant, lemon basil, and Italian basil in our hydroponics units that will be moved outside to our garden next month. Flowers in our milk jugs are getting big. Snow peas and spinach are growing, and our chives are in bloom!

Head Gardener – Vauxhall Community Garden

PISC is getting ready for spring and the Easter Bunny!
Fun Fact: The best lettuce varieties for rabbits are romaine, red leaf lettuce, and butterhead, which are high in fiber and nutrients, while iceberg lettuce offers a much lower nutritional value treat.

Our School No. 4 winter crop is breaking ground! We were very excited to see our garlic plants pop up. Looking forward to spring planting!

Spring Awakening in March: The flower seeds students planted outside in milk jugs, in Feb. have sprouted. Lettuce and snow pea seeds planted this month are sprouting in the garden. Our chives are back and looking great!

Plant A Seed Today For The Future
Self-seeded crops sprouting from last year plus overwintered plants beginning to grow.

Getting Ready for Spring!
The students took advantage of the warm weather to take a trip to check the garden. While they were there, they set up the tables so we could have class in the garden once spring arrives.

Our community at the PISC Vera Garden has come together to prepare for Spring! Not only is our compost set, but we also have lettuce coming up!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

November & December Sweet Potatoes
