Union County Commissioner Chairman Sergio Granados attended the garden tour at Prevention Links / Elizabethport Community Center in Elizabeth.
This garden is used to teach the effective methods of planting a garden at home and was a Garden Enhancement Grant recipient for our 2023 Union County Means Green Community Garden Grant Program.

In addition, students are air frying radish and making chips as a healthier meal option. This garden was a garden enhancement recipient for the 2023 Community Garden Grant. Thank you to the staff and students for an amazing day of harvesting!

Here, students and staff planted a variety of plants including but not limited to sunflowers, squash, and eggplants. Thank you for having us!
Thanks to the Union County Means Green Community Garden Grant, the Roselle Park Environmental Commission was able to replace some of our old wooden raised beds, and the seedlings have helped us grow well over 100lbs of organic produce in our community beds for distribution to the community!
Today we joined Richmond Towers, Plainfield for a second tour of their garden. What a difference! Richmond Towers now has over 15 different plants in their garden. One of the most interesting crops to be growing at Richmond Towers is none other than corn! Who would have thought?
We want to thank the Richmond Towers garden club and staff for inviting us to see their harvest for the year. We are so excited to see the garden expand even more!
