Rahway Woman Pleads Guilty to Robbery Counts

A Rahway woman pled guilty earlier this week to two counts of 2nd Degree Robbery, and faces up to three years in state prison when she is sentenced earlier next year, announced Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.

Devyn Perkins DOB: 3/3/1993 was arrested following an investigation by Rahway Police Detective Richard Stefanick, said Assistant Prosecutor Albert Zabady, Jr., who prosecuted the case. According to the investigation, on June 25, 2011 Perkins called a local Chinese restaurant and placed an order to be delivered to an abandoned building. When the driver arrived he was attacked by an accomplice of Perkins’ who remains at large. Three days later Perkins called a pizza parlor in Rahway and had a delivery sent to separate abandoned building, said Zabady. That driver was also attacked and robbed. In that case, Wayne Hodges DOB: 12/25/1991 was arrested and charged and is currently awaiting trial.

Police were able to track Perkins through the telephone number she used to place the false orders. She must serve at least 85% of her sentence before she is available for parole.
